Whistler Water is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the upcoming LIVE at Squamish music festival. Its taking place on the Labour Day Long Weekend at the Squamish Logger Sports Ground.

Live at Squamish is a new multi-day music and arts festival engulfed in the true spirit of British Columbia and built in the spirit of the greatest European festivals. There will be multiple stages of the best and latest electronic, indie, blues, and rock music. Happy times in a big field with great music!

Whistler Water will be at the festival all weekend enjoying the good vibes, keeping people hydrated, and keeping the grounds clean and tidy with our recycling team.

Whistler Water is proud to sponsor the World Snowshoe Invitational taking place on Grouse Mountain on February 27th, 2010.

The Yeti Snowshoe Series is a local race series now in its 9^h season of operation. For the first time Grouse Mountain will host the World Snowshoe Invitational which is doubling as The Canadian National Championships. The race has both a 5km and 10km option that will cover all of our snowshoe terrain including summiting Dam Mountain and trekking out to Thunderbird Ridge. Note: 10km event is WSI and CNC only, 5km Sport Category is a participation based category.

All athletic abilities and ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Over 250 National and International athlete’s lace up their snowshoes for what promises to be the most competitive snowshoe race in the history of the sport in North America.

Japan, Spain, France, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, USA and New Zealand have all entered top athletes that will push hard for the World Title. The Start line will be boasting, previous Olympic Athletes, National Champions, World Record Holders and World Champions.

There will be a First Nations Ceremonial Start line performance blessing 10km course. Olympic Athletes from the past will also be on hand in support of this Snowshoe Celebration which one day might just become an Olympic sport.

World famous entertainers and local guests will be refreshed with Canada’s Whistler Water at the upcoming premiere benefit concert in West Vancouver on Saturday, September 12, 2009.  The Sarah McLachlan Foundation and the District of West Vancouver will present a unique occasion called “Summer Sessions at Ambleside” as a one-day premiere benefit concert in the idyllic setting.
 
Whistler Water is a proud sponsor of the event, the first of its kind in West Vancouver, that will feature musical performances by megastar artists Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow and Neil Young.  
 
All proceeds from the concert go to the Sarah McLachlan Foundation. The Foundation’s mandate is to bring music into the lives of young Canadians, through providing free music programs to youth in under-served communities. The impact of participation is profound; building self-esteem, and fostering creativity in young people through the power of music. Ambleside Park in West Vancouver will also provide the perfect location for the late summer concert. Alongside the premiere artists, the all day festival will include performances from an eclectic array of talented Canadian artists.
 
As British Columbia’s truly local water, Whistler Water is a natural fit for this prominent local event, benefitting home grown music. Summer Sessions at Ambleside will benefit youth in Canadian communities, and provide the audience with a rare and excellent experience. The second annual celebration of local food and drink took place on January 22, 2009 (4:30-7:30 p.m.) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver. Event goers not only indulged in tastings from some of the finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and cheese purveyors in BC, their contributions also benefited one of the province’s most vital medical institutions, the Oak Tree Clinic, which specializes in providing care and services to sufferers of HIV/AIDS.
